Biography
Jean De La Croix Abayisenga is a dedicated Rwandan educator, theologian, community leader, and Christian minister who is passionate about transforming lives through faith, education, and community development. Born in 1997 in Rwanda’s Muhanga District and raised in a Christian family, he developed a strong commitment to serving God and uplifting vulnerable communities from an early age. His journey began with technical education in Masonry at the advanced secondary level, providing him with practical skills and a deep appreciation for vocational empowerment. Responding to a calling for Christian ministry, he pursued theological studies through the support of Glory Bible Mission in Africa (GBMA) and the Bible College of East Africa (BCEA), where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Theology. His academic and spiritual formation equipped him with leadership, pastoral, and community development skills that continue to guide his work today. Jean currently serves as a Coordinator and Board members at Family Success Rwanda and as a Senior Leader at Faina Jerusalem Village, where he plays a key role in advancing educational opportunities, youth empowerment initiatives, and holistic community transformation programs. Through his leadership, he contributes to providing quality technical and general education while promoting values of integrity, responsibility, servant leadership, and social justice. He is deeply committed to empowering young people with practical skills, spiritual guidance, and entrepreneurial mindsets that enable them to become agents of positive change within their communities. His work supports sustainable development efforts by strengthening families, promoting education, encouraging ethical leadership, and creating opportunities for vulnerable populations. Jean de la Croix believes that lasting transformation occurs when faith, education, and community action work together. His vision is to help build thriving communities where children, youth, and families can achieve their full potential and contribute meaningfully to Rwanda's social and economic development. Through partnerships, mentorship, and community engagement, Jean continues to inspire hope and create pathways for sustainable change, making him a valuable leader and advocate for holistic development in Rwanda and beyond.
